If you’re an experienced Instagram and Facebook user, chances are you’ve ever posted something you later regretted. Posts are easy to delete, but given the focus on stories in recent years, it’s a good idea to learn how to delete a story on Facebook or Instastory on Instagram.
By their nature, stories are ephemeral. Although it is saved to you in some sort of archive, this does not mean that someone else can see them after the 24 hours that are implicitly associated with them. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Consequently, a wrong story or one with content that you regret, it would be a shame not to know how to delete it.
How to delete a story from Facebook
Whether you’ve posted a story on Facebook with a video clip, a photo, or a text, they’re all deleted in the same way. You enter the mobile application of the same name and, at the top of the screen, you should see your story (Your Story). Click on it and it will be displayed immediately. From now on, you are interested in the three points on the top right (More). From the new menu, choose Delete Photo or Delete Video, as appropriate. Confirm the deletion with an additional click on Delete.
How to delete an Instagram Instastory
In the case of Instagram, the mechanism is quite similar to that of Facebook. To delete a Story that belongs to you, go to Instagram on your profile page or open your Story from the top left when you enter the post stream. Once displayed on the screen, tap the three dots in the lower right, More or More. Press the red Delete or Delete button and confirm your choice again.
