Famous Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen sings on the stage of the Bucharest National Opera, in a charity gala concert

Iasi Regional Institute of Oncology is the only public institute in Romania mono specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, being built and equipped to European standards after 1990.

Lise Davidsen she is considered the greatest soprano voice on the world lyric map, a worthy descendant of opera legends such as Kirsten Flagstad or Birgit Nilsson.

A radiant debut of a strong, ample and confident voice, both fresh and mature from the first high note reached in the quintet of the first act, at the same time full, soft and penetrating. The discography of the soloist includes some very popular records: the works “Fidelio” and “Die Freischutz” under the musical direction of Marek Janowski with the Dresden Philharmonic and the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, as well as two exceptional recital records, with arias from the Italian and German repertoire. with Mark Elder and Esa Pekka Salonen as conductors. In fact, the recital at the Bucharest National Opera presents a selection of the areas from the two albums.

The soprano of Norwegian origin, became known on the international stage in 2015, winning multiple prizes in the Operalia, Regina Sonja and Hans Gabor Belvedere competitions. These were immediately followed by triumphant debuts at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Wiener Staatsoper and the festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Bayreuth and Glyndebourne.

These theaters, like many others, have extended the invitation to Lisa for several seasons, often several times per season: in the summer of 2021 she was part of two productions at the Bayreuth Festival (Elisabeth of Tannhäuser and Sieglinde of Die Walküre, by Wagner) and is already announced in two other major titles on the biggest stages in the world: at the Metropolitan Opera New York in The Knight of the Roses by Richard Strauss and at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in “Tannhäuser” by Wagner.

Exactly one year ago, on May 10, 2021, Lise Davidsen performed under the baton of master Riccardo Chailly in the reopening concert of the famous Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The event marked the end of two years of inactivity caused by the pandemic and celebrated the 75th anniversary of the resumption of performances after World War II. In the same year, after Die Walküre at the Bayerische Staatsope, Lise Davidsen was named Singer of the Year by the International Opera Awards.

Other important moments include roles such as Sieglinde in Die Walküre in a new production at Deutsche Oper Berlin and in concert at the Opéra National de Paris; the role of Jenufa at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; Elisabeth from “Tannhäuser” at the Bayerische Staatsoper and starring in Strauss’s “Ariadne auf Naxos” at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, Wiener Staatsoper and the Glyndebourne Festival.

Davidsen’s performance as Leonore in Fidelio by Beethoven in the new production at the Royal Opera House prompted their music director, Antonio Pappano, to exclaim, “A rare voice, one in a million,” all amazed. Her voice has an inner light! ”

Lise Davidsen has toured with many of the most important orchestras and under the musical direction of great conductors, performing famous works such as Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at BBC Proms, the Royal Opera House with Antonio Pappano, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Fabio Luisi; Vier letzte Lieder with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra; Wesendonck Lieder and Rückert-Lieder with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra; and Sibelius’s Luonnotar with the BBC Philharmonic at the BBC Proms.

Lise Davidsen performed for the first time on a Romanian stage in 2015, in a concert with Vier lezte Lieder (Richard Strauss) at the Romanian Athenaeum with the George Enescu Philharmonic under the musical direction of maestro Christian Badea, so that in 2019 be a guest of the George Enescu International Festival in the opera Peter Grimes, with the National Radio Orchestra.

José Miguel Pérez-Sierra is part of the new generation of Spanish conductors, already having a solid experience in Iberian and European opera houses. Specializing in belcanto, his most important appearances were at the Pesaro Festival and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia with La Scala di Seta by Rossini, Teatro del Liceu Barcelona with Madama Butterfly, and he was often invited to the Puccini Festival in Lake Tower.

In the 2021/2022 season he debuted at the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie in Brussels with the opera “Carmen”. His discography includes recordings of “Manon Lescaut” at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania and works by Bellini and Rossini on Sony, Unitel and Naxos.
