Massive protests in Greece. Tourists cannot use shipping

The most affected are people who have to commute between the Greek islands. Ships and ferries remain stranded in ports due to a 24-hour strike by employees.

May Day is celebrated with protests in Greece. Thousands of people gathered in front of the parliament in Athens, dissatisfied with the increasingly expensive living caused by the crisis that has affected the whole of Europe.

The protest is organized by the strongest workers’ union in Greece. The opposition takes advantage of people’s dissatisfaction with the huge prices and comes with criticism of capitalism.

“The only right side of history is the path of class struggle. It leads the wheel of history towards the complete liberation of the working class by abolishing the exploitation of human beings by other people, “said Dimitris Koutsoumbas, secretary general of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece.

The carriers have blocked the activity and demand a reduction in the price of fuel. Due to the strike, public transport is paralyzed.
