Iulia Buciuceanu was born on June 25, 1931, in Tighina, Bessarabia. The artist would have turned 91 this year.

She was the first soloist of the Romanian Opera in Bucharest for thirty years (1952-1983). She took her first singing lessons at home with her mother. He studied at the Conservatory in Iaşi with Grigore Magiari and Mansi Barberis, after which he continued his studies in Bucharest with professor Petre Ştefănescu-Goangă, according to Agerpres.

Since she was a student, she was hired as a soloist at the Romanian Opera in Bucharest, where she pursued an important artistic career both nationally and internationally.

He approached the roles of mezzo-soprano of a vast universal repertoire.

He was also very successful in both dramatic and comic roles. He also approached the symphonic, lied and operetta vocal repertoire, collaborating with all the artists and conductors of his time.

He has toured in Russia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Austria.
