Moscow prepares to “sweep” Putin for Ukraine’s seemingly “lost” war

Vladimir Putin’s top security officials believe the war in Ukraine is “lost”, making the chances of a coup more likely, says a Moscow analyst.

The chances of the Russian dictator launching a nuclear strike are dwindling as officers refuse to carry out his orders, says journalist Christo Grozev, who suggests Putin will lose power.

He says leadership officials are unlikely to obey Putin’s orders to launch nuclear weapons. Most officers believe Putin will not be in power in three months.

“I think the informed security forces are the ones who understand that the war is lost,” Grozev told Radio Liberty. He said Putin’s close circle understood that the president would need full mass mobilization to win the war, but that would cause a “social explosion” in Russia.

Putin cannot launch a nuclear attack without the approval of officers

Putin and his entourage are pushing for the use of nuclear or chemical weapons, Grozev warned, so as not to waste another 10,000 lives on Russian soldiers and officers.

Grozev, an investigator for the Bellingcat group of investigative journalists, said it took “five hands” for Russia to launch nuclear missiles. And officers can defy Putin’s orders.

“And this refusal will most likely trigger a coup, because after the refusal to obey the king’s order, everything will collapse very quickly,” he added. “If Putin decides to issue an order for the use of nuclear weapons, he must be sure that everyone along the chain will comply with that order.”

Putin could have his last major action in the war in Ukraine, most likely lost, before being “dethroned”

If a person does not comply, Grozev says it will be a “signal of insubordination” that could lead to “Putin’s death.” “So, until he is sure that everyone will comply, he will not give this order”, he added, according to antena3.ro.

It is known that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of Defense Staff Valery Gerasimov could cause nuclear strikes. During the war, Putin was seen in public with an officer carrying his nuclear briefcase.

Should we prepare for post-Putin Russia? The journalist also revealed that senior officials from the FSB security agency and the military intelligence organization GRU are preparing for post-Putin Russia. of Russian soldiers who were killed or disappeared “keep asking questions.”

“They know that this situation will eventually get out of hand,” Grozev added. These are the parts of the security forces that know the dangers to the regime and are preparing for a future without Putin.

“Some of them are looking for an opportunity to take their families out of Russia, all of them are looking for ways to transfer the money they have accumulated (money earned from corruption in many cases) into dollars and euros. “A betrayal is taking place because they are not following the Kremlin’s ideological orders, but are preparing for an alternative reality.”
