Stockpiles of sunflower seeds in Ukraine caught fire inside a storage facility on Tuesday (May 31st) after being bombed in the eastern region of Donetsk.
Video footage showed piles of sunflower seeds burning inside the storage unit as Ukrainian soldiers approached the building to inspect it, as well as holes left by splinters in the unit’s roof, according to Reuters.
Heavy fighting continues in the Donetsk region, where Russian forces are regrouping to resume their offensive in the direction of the Sloviansk region, while also trying to encircle the city of Severodonetsk, Ukrainian authorities said.
