At the time of writing, the online services of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, all under the Meta giant led by Mark Zuckerberg, are on hold. The problem does not seem to be very widespread, but given the large number of users of the giant, it will not go unnoticed.
If you were doing too well on Tuesday, this afternoon, Facebook crashed. Unfortunately, along with Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and probably Oculus, all companies within Meta and online services with billions of users all over the world, have also fallen. When you access Facebook, a simple message appears with the text “Sorry, Something went wrong. We`re working on it and we`ll get it fixed as soon as we can. ”(Sorry, something went wrong. We are working on the problem and will fix it as soon as possible.)
How do you know Facebook has crashed?
Just minutes after Mark Zuckerberg’s social network hit the downdetector.com website, complaints about the Facebook site and app began to multiply. Predictably, there has been an increase in complaints about WhatsApp and Messenger, respectively.
As for the Facebook Messenger application, which we use regularly in the interest of the service, the messages seemed to be sent in order, but I no longer had the delivery confirmation or reading. However, most of the complaints seem to have been about the operation of Instagram. In just a few moments, complaints about Instagram crashing have surpassed the 100 threshold on the same Downdetector.
The problems encountered by Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger do not seem to have been long lasting, and after 15-30 minutes, they returned to normal. On the other hand, no Meta official commented on the subject. But if you want to keep track of the progress of the situation, just take a look at the hashtag #facebookdown on Twitter and you will be amazed at the number of people who ran the competition to complain about the subject.
