Apple CEO Tim Cook gave a speech to deaf and hard of hearing students at Gallaudet University in Washington DC.

“My values also helped me to persevere in difficult decisions both in my professional and personal life. When people question the financial wisdom of our commitment to sustainability, I expressed my values when I said clearly that the fight against climate change is and will remain one of our most important goals, “he said.

“And in my life, it was my values that prompted me to tell the world that I was gay, so that I could bring hope to people who still hide who I am from the world,” he added.
