Russia is not giving up on its offensive in Ukraine, but will try to focus again on the full conquest of the Donbas region in the coming weeks, said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
“We are now seeing a significant movement of Russian troops moving away from Kyiv to regroup, rearm and resupply and to turn their attention east,” Stoltenberg said before Wednesday’s meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
Stoltenberg said NATO allies would discuss the delivery of air defense systems and weapons to Ukraine.
“It is well known that we are talking about advanced weapon systems, we are talking, for example, about javelin and other anti-tank weapons, which have proven to be extremely effective on the battlefield,” he said.
