VIDEO: Zelenski says the Odessa runway will be rebuilt

Russian missiles have destroyed the newly built runway of the main airport in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, a strategic port on the Black Sea, military and civilian officials said.

“The runway at Odessa Airport has been destroyed. We will rebuild it, of course. But Odessa will never forget Russia’s behavior towards it, “said President Volodymyr Zelenski.

Odessa region governor Maksym Marchenko said Russia had used a Crimean-launched Bastion missile.

Odessa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov said it took 10 years to design and build the new runway, which was officially inaugurated in July last year. The Russian military has not yet confirmed the attack.
