Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that he had visited two cities near the Ukrainian front, where fighting is taking place against the Russian army, after meeting with troops in the Zaporizizhia region.
“I was in Lysychansk and Soledar,” Zelenski said in a video shot last night.
“I am proud of all the people I met, all the people I shook hands with, all the people I connected with and expressed my support for,” according to Reuters.
“I brought something for the army,” he continued. “I will not go into detail. And it’s something I brought you from them. This is important – I trust you. “
Lysychansk is located in the Lugansk region, and Soledar is located in the Donetsk region – forming the Donbas, the focal point of Russia’s progress in eastern Ukraine.
